Sevetu is a marketplace that connects households with the people who do household work. You post what you need, verified service providers apply, and you choose, the same way hiring works everywhere else, except that this is one of the few jobs in India where it normally does not.
The usual route is a broker with a phone full of numbers, a placement fee of about a month’s salary, and a stranger starting on Monday with nothing checked and nothing written down. Sevetu replaces all three parts of that: an identity-verified profile before you speak to anyone, a conversation before you commit, and the salary, hours and weekly off recorded in a digital work agreement you both accept. Sevetu does not employ or supply anyone and takes no commission. You hire the person and pay them directly.

An agency picks the person for you and charges a placement fee, typically a month's salary, again each time they replace someone. A broker often keeps taking a cut every month. On a marketplace you see the applicants yourself and decide, and Sevetu charges neither side anything.
