What to check before you hire a cook in Bangalore

Hiring a cook in Bangalore's tech corridors
Bangalore is not one hiring market for cooks. It is five or six, and where you live decides how the hiring actually works: who is available, how they get to you, and what the going rate in your building is.
Whitefield and ITPL run on gate passes: large complexes where a cook often works the same tower all day and rarely takes a job outside it. The Outer Ring Road belt (Bellandur, Marathahalli, Sarjapur Road) is dense apartment country with fast tenant turnover, so a good cook there is usually replacing a family that just moved out. HSR Layout and Koramangala mix independent houses with apartments, and cooks commute in from the areas around them.
